Year-over-year passenger numbers continue to increase

Both July and August passenger numbers show that Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) continues its upward trend over last year’s numbers.
“We’re pleased that our airline partners continue to add more seats and passengers in the Cleveland market for the 4th consecutive month,” said Interim Director Fred Szabo.
In July 2015, while the number of flights remained the same, CLE had 759,707 total passengers which is up 101,972 or 15.5% from 2014. Scheduled seats also increased 18.3% over July 2014.
In August 2015, CLE had 741,565 total passengers, which is up 93,281 passengers or 14.39% from 2014. Scheduled seats for this August also increased 21.1% over August 2014. Flights for August of this year increased 1.9% when compared to last year to 8,851 flights for the month.
