Brown Lot shuttle moving to GTC
July 7, 2017
Press Releases
Starting Monday, July 10th, 2017 at 12:01 a.m. the Brown Lot shuttle will move its pick-up/drop-off location to the newly created Ground Transportation Center (GTC) at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE).
The GTC is located just west of the Smart Parking Garage and is the current site of rideshare and other shuttle services at CLE.
CLE has recently made numerous improvements to the GTC to enhance the customer’s experience when being dropped off at that location. We’ve added wheelchair assistance for passengers with limited mobility with a check-in counter just inside the doors. Passengers needing assistance directly from the shuttle can notify their driver, who will assist them in making arrangements. This service will take the passengers to the ticketing level where they’ll need to arrange further assistance with their airlines if necessary. We’ve also partnered with SmarteCarte to provide free luggage carts from this location. CLE also deployed a new monitoring technology which allows passengers to remain inside the heated/cooled building until their shuttle arrives by using new screens that show each shuttle and updates passengers when they’re arriving and boarding.
The shuttle is moving to continue consolidating our Ground Transportation operations to the GTC. Notifications have already been made to the passengers utilizing the shuttles that the change is taking place. Adequate signage will be in place near the old pick-up/drop-off location.
