Travel Tips for the Holiday Weekend and Beyond

Press Releases
Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) is preparing their guests for the Memorial Day travel weekend as travel demand continues to grow during the Covid-19 pandemic. While passenger numbers remain below the same timeframe last year, numbers have slowly started to climb as the country begins to reopen.
Passenger safety is important to CLE and we continue to sanitize the airport multiple times daily. Hand sanitizer stations are in place throughout the airport as well. Social distancing markers are on the floor in the checkpoints as well as other line queues within the airport including ticket counters and concessions within the building. Shields have been placed at a number of counters throughout the airport as well.
While passenger numbers remain low, it is still important for guests to arrive early to ensure making their flight as TSA is currently operating out of the South Checkpoint only for both standard screening and TSA Pre-Check..
Face coverings are not mandatory, but are highly recommended in the terminal, some airlines are requiring their passengers have face coverings to fly. Those airlines include: Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest, American Airlines and Frontier Airlines. Please check with your airline before heading to the airport to make sure you are following all of their safety guidelines. As always, also check your flight status before heading to the airport.
At this time, all CLE on-site parking is free. The off-site Brown Lot is currently closed.
CLE has a Covid-19 page on their website that includes all pertinent information that guests need to know before they travel. Go to www.clevelandairport.com/covid-19 for the latest updates. Information includes open concessions and current non-stop flights.
