CLE Passengers Soar to the Highest Level in a Single Month Since August of 2008

In July, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) welcomed 991,693 guests, a 4.4 percent increase over the same month last year, and an increase of 2.2 percent compared to August 2019.
The last time CLE experienced more passengers in a month was in August of 2008.
Year-to-date, 6,008,449 passengers have traveled via CLE; an increase of 4.38% compared to last year, and up 2.67% compared to 2019.
“External factors caused a slight hindering in our growth last month, but the month’s activity is impressive nonetheless,” said Bryant L. Francis, C.M., Director of Port Control. “Year-to-date in 2024, passenger activity has increased 7 percent over last year and CLE remains on trend to meet our forecast of 10,250,000 for the calendar year.”
Approximately 10,250,000 passengers are forecasted to fly through CLE in 2024.
